Medium-High. He definitely needs his activity daily, but knows when to turn it off. He doesn’t have to go constantly but needs it.
Biddability (low/medium/high):
Medium-High. He will learn things very quickly and lives for it.
Vocality (low/medium/high):
Medium. He would be considered high for many dogs, but for an Icelandic he is medium. He usually has a reason to bark or has been triggered.
Prey drive (low/medium/high):
Medium. He lives with cats and doesn’t have the prey drive for small dogs. But movement and outside animals are higher.
Human social (reactive, aloof, neutral, social):
Social. Truly hasn’t met a person he doesn’t think is his best friend.
Dog social: (reactive, aloof, neutral, social):
Social. He loves all dogs but adjusts to their behavior. If it’s an older dog he’s respectful and leaves them alone. If it’s a dog similar in his play style he’ll play.
Environmental sensitivity - (scale of 1-10, 10 being very reactive/unable to redirect and 1 being sleeping and/or completely engaged and able to ignore the world):

8. He’s very confident but the healthy amount of cautiousness to not be too much.
Velcro (scale 1-10, 1 being very independent and aloof and 10 being living in your skin at all times):
7. He definitely is very much attached to me, but has a healthy level of independence. He doesn’t have to be attached to me at all times, but likes to know where I’m at.
Affectionate (scale 1-10, 1 being not ever seeking or giving affection/attention, 10 being the most affectionate dog ever):
7. He has a huge heart, but doesn’t smother.
Problem solving skills/independent thinking: (scale 1-10, 1 being needs help with everything/can’t generalize, 10 being puzzle master):
8. He absolutely will do anything in his willpower to figure out a puzzle if food is involved
Off switch?
Yes, but nap times must be forced at times.
Favorite activities:
Chasing, tugging, swimming. Anything active
Personality quirks?
Shows his love with his mouth. If he loves someone or something must go in his mouth. He’s a world champion splooter.
Pros?
Everything I wanted in a dog; active, tug drive, natural closeness, driven, biddable, super social.
Cons?
Self preservation? Never heard of it.
Any additional comments?
I 100% couldn’t have gotten a better match of a puppy. He has exactly what I needed and wanted. He has the skills to do anything I ask of him & will continue to do so. He improves on things my other boy lacks. He has the dog social skills to be with my adults, one who is dog selective and another who’s older. I can’t express how much a joy and a gem this puppy is.
